Know where the wind blows. Of course, this is hard for beginners but as time pass by you will become a pro to this. The wind is the number enemy. Even though you are fully dressed to camouflage but the wind would get you, chances are the deer will smell you and would run of knowing someone is on him. Cover your smell through shampoos and cologne a scent they are unfamiliar with.

Only pack the necessary items. The most important thing when you go on a hunt is by bringing a well stocked backpack. Extra ammo, binoculars and extra cold in case of harsh weathers, food and drink are some items you need to pack. Another thing to keep on hand is a knife because there might be situations that you will going to need it.

Timing. A great hunter knows when is the perfect timing to aim. Practice this and you become a pro. Know when to wait and when to shoot. Deer are fast, the minute it senses a human around chances are it will run away as soon as possible. Be alert and quick and surely you can catch one for yourself in no time.
