City of Naples, Florida forms the heart of Collier and Naples County. Naples Bay is a major destination for tourists and locals alike who love fishing. Naples Bay and the many canals around are an unlimited access to Snook, Tarpon and plenty of local fishing targets. Marinas are a common sight on the bay that includes Naples City Dock in whose shadows big schools of Amberjacks congregate. Fishing in Naples Florida, a place of great experience.

All days of the year have anglers visiting Naples beaches looking for sport and bait fish. Along the beach, and readily available for easy catching, are Snook. Fishing is made difficult, as people bathing splash on the surf, scaring fish away. Often, the best hours of fishing are early in the morning and late in the evening. During the summer off season, however, crowds vanish giving you the opportunity to fish in solitude on certain stretches.

Naples Fishing Pier is a famous attraction among Collier County people. No angling license or angling fees are charged. This means you only require your fishing gear to have fun. This is why a lot of anglers can be found here totting their angling carts loaded with coolers and gear.

Within the area, you will find quite a number of centers having clean running water and ready to help clean your prized catch. Your convenience is catered for in form of a concession stand with snacks or bait on sale. The pier is big so you will find a spot easily to fish. Regular fishers prefer the spot at the piers end where many sharks often get caught.

The southern point of the beach and Gordon Drive in alliance with clear waters creates a wonderful scenario for angling. Fish have jetties for cover so the spots are excellent to camp for angling. Fish, both sport and bait, hang around the jetties. Also, large rocks acting as jetties bordering Gordon Pass are good scenes for angling.

Gordon Drive and 32nd Street gives a wonderful view of Naples Pier. They have numerous jetties on which you can cast around your line, tying up your baiting baskets. Another entry on to the beach is found at Gordon Drive and 21st Street. Angling here is similar to the rest of beaches on south end. This beach is private and roomy because access is limited to few.

Lowdermilk Part, a famed 1,000 foot stretch of beach controlled by this city has its location north of the pier. It offers similar angling experiences as the rest of the beaches in this city so long as you keep it in mind to cast parallel to the surf and fish very close to the shore.

As far as the inshore goes, Tarpon is popular for angling in the Tarpon City named series of Port Royal canals. Several Mangrove islands that have canals intersecting one another, where you can place anchor for your craft, is a good place to cast off in direction of the land. Private floating docks provide fish with shelter meaning exciting fishing action is available during tide changes on passes and tips of canals.
